Jerry Washburn
After
graduating from The University of Iowa, Mr. Washburn began
a 26-year career in the fashion industry. As a founding
member of Brittania Jeans, Union Bay Sportswear and with
management experience at Gloria Vanderbilt, success was a
familiar friend.
For
17 years Mr. Washburn was associated with Lawman
Sportswear, Inc. as Director of Field Operations and,
subsequently, Chief Internet Technology Director.
As a
principal officer in the Hong Kong based company Mr.
Washburn traveled, extensively, to Hong Kong, Singapore,
mainland China and Japan. Duties included design,
production and export of products to the U.S.
Mr.
Washburn has been President and Owner of NetConsult
Site Solutions since October 1998.
NetConsult is a technology based consultancy for the
Entertainment and Theater Industry, Celebrities, not for
profit organizations, governmental organizations and
various business organizations from Multi-National
Healthcare and Medicine to Event Management Companies.
Premier clients include Kevin Costner, Danny Glover, Tim
Robbins, The Spirit of America Tour, The Pasadena Symphony, The Robey
Theatre Company, the Actor's Gang Theatre Company, Greenway Arts Alliance, Women of Essence
Cancer Support Group, The Cities of Burbank and Glendale, California, Cal State Sacramento and
Caltrans.
Mr.
Washburn has been the subject of two Microsoft press
releases and two subsequent white papers concerning the
innovation used in the development of the Burbank
Redevelopment Agency web site and also for Cambodian
Heart, a charity benefit web site developed for Mr. Danny
Glover to aid a Cambodian orphanage.
In
2002 and 2003, through an association with Texas A&M
University, Mr. Washburn helped to set up a technology
based Food Safety program at the Northwest Sci-Tech
University of Agriculture and Forestry in Yangling,
China. Through this association Mr. Washburn also
instituted, in Harbin China, through a mandate from the
Ministry of Science and Technology of the Peoples Republic
of China, a trade school that trains students in the Life
and Casualty Insurance business.
Mr. Washburn also has had a working
relationship, since 2004, with TMC Entertainment.
Working in harmony with the Sichuan Cultural Affairs
Bureau and other Chinese government agencies, TMC
Entertainment presents culturally diverse Chinese
entertainment to the American Audience.
With a mandate to educate and introduce the
American audience to Arts and Entertainment culture of
China, TMC produces a variety of renowned and respected
Chinese Artists in their American performances
