500 NATIONS

500 NATIONS, a Jack Leustig
film, explores the history of the indigenous peoples of North and
Central America, from pre-Colombian times through the period of European
contact and colonization, to the closing of the frontier in 1890. 500
NATIONS utilizes historical texts, eyewitness accounts, pictorial
sources and computer graphic reconstructions to explore the magnificent
civilizations that flourished prior to contact with Western
civilization, and to tell the dramatic ongoing story of the Native
American nations.

BLACK BASEBALL PLAYERS ASSOCIATION
The Game of the Century is a full 9-inning baseball
game played by former African American and Latino Major League Baseball
players and Hall of Famers to honor the Old Negro League players some of
whom will be present at the celebration. Entertainment, history and
education will be provided for crowd participants with pre-activities
during the culminating week consisting of free youth baseball clinics
and opportunities for the fans to meet and greet the players. The Black
Baseball Players Association and The Los Angeles Dodgers will host the
Game of the Century II at Dodger Stadium during the summer of 2008 and
celebrate the 6oth Anniversary of Jackie Robinson breaking the color
barrier for baseball.

SILVERS
For ten years I trained with Roy
London who taught many actors including Michelle Pfeiffer, Brad Pitt,
Sharon Stone, Jim Belushi and Geena Davis. London's teaching is one
piece of the equations I teach in my acting classes as well as the life
skills classes I developed. Not only have I worked with a lot of
accomplished actors including Brian Goodman, Patti D'Arbenville and Jeff
Kober, but also actors Gary Oldman and Richard Dreyfuss, both endorse my
work.
I developed
human behavioral concepts while teaching
acting to friends who asked me to help them
get ready for auditions. My friends
immediately began booking jobs and their
lives were changing. The more I worked with
actors, the more I grew fascinated by human
behavior and began to develop classes to
help people to live in prosperity and joy.
These courses introduced my students to the
possibility of change, in the broadest sense
of the idea.
Currently,
I am studying with Gangaji, an American born
teacher and author, who has traveled the
globe since 1990, speaking with spiritual
seekers from all walks of life.
And finally
one of the most important pieces of my
equation is my father. Growing up as the
daughter of Phil Silvers I didn’t just learn
intellectually, but instead I inherited the
right to teach the pure brilliance of his
talent. My father won three Tony Awards on
Broadway and seven Emmys for his television
series “Sergeant Bilko.” But that is only a
fraction of his gift.

THE GREENWAY ARTS ALLIANCE AT THE GREENWAY COURT THEATRE
Greenway Arts Alliance was founded a decade ago by a
group of young actors who wanted more than to practice their craft;
their goal was to utilize the theatre as a means to address - and have a
positive effect on - contemporary social issues. Known as New Attitude
Productions, and based out of a residential apartment in the Fairfax
district of Los Angeles, the dedicated group rented small performance
venues and produced plays to raise money on behalf of the homeless,
women's shelters, animal rescue and charitable food drives.
HAYLETT PUBLISHING - THE LONESOME PINE
Born in Greywell England in 1959. Jane spent her childhood, singing,
dancing and acting both on stage and screen.
Her experience with rejection is reflected in this compelling
story of a Pine tree's dream to become what he
thought he was born to be a Christmas tree.
As a child, Jane was always writing stories, songs and poems, but
her dream was to one day become a movie star.
JIM VERRAROS MUSIC
Jim Verraros – American Idol Top Ten Finalist has been
heard around the country on the 2002 American Idols Live Tour from Fox's
hit show. The artist recently signed to Koch Records. The album will be
released on April 26, 2005. Producing and co-writing the material is Los
Angeles-based singer/songwriter Gabe Lopez. Fellow A.I. Finalist Angela
Peel lends a hand on songwriting and vocals for four of the album's
tracks.

PASADENA YOUTH SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
PYSO has been training tomorrow's classical
musicians since 1972. Now in its 33rd year, PYSO is considered among the
best youth orchestras in the Southland. This exceptional ensemble is
comprised of talented middle school students from grades six through
nine. These committed young people receive advanced instruction and
challenging music opportunities through a rigorous program that
emphasizes ensemble playing and includes a minimum of three concerts a

California composer, lyricist and playwright for young audiences
Paul Morse died of
complications from AIDS in California during the second day of the AATE
conference in Seattle. Born in Newark, New Jersey, his family moved to
Los Angeles in 1948. He attended UCLA and graduated in 1968 with a
Bachelor of Arts degree. While in college, Paul wrote his three-act
play, Coming of Age, which received first prize in the Samuel French
National Collegiate Playwriting Contest in 1967.
THE ROBEY THEATRE COMPANY
Robey was founded in December 1994 by Danny Glover and Bennet Guillory
to fill a void of opportunity for Black theatre artists. Artists of
color, particularly Black playwrights, have long lacked a forum where
their work can be developed in collaboration with their peers. Black
audiences have had insufficient opportunity to hear these voices in an
ongoing basis and their unique expression of the culture. Robey was
founded to fulfill this need.

is driven by an underlying impulse that equates the creation of
professional, award-winning theatre with the performance of tangible

BOONE
Shelli Boone is on a
tremendous Hollywood journey. Since her first on-screen job
co-hosting BET’s Mad Sports four years ago, she has appeared in
over 15 films, national and regional commercials, radio spots and
several television shows. One of her most notable roles was as
series regular Evan Reed in Saints and Sinners, a 2007 primetime
drama on FOX’s My Network TV. She also showed her range, playing
twins, in the 2007 Lionsgate DVD release of Holla, a comedy/horror
film that garnered her a Best Actress nomination in the Chicago
Film Festival. Shelli has also co-starred on popular episodics
such as Entourage, Days of Our Lives and The Young and the
Restless. And she shared the screen with David Alan Grier and
Kevin Hart in the upcoming comedy The Business, due out in 2008.
SPIRIT OF AMERICA TOUR
Since its creation in 2001 as a
contribution to the morale, welfare and recreation of the men and women
of the United State's Armed Forces and their families the tour has
arranged over
50
free
concerts. In
achieving its goal the tour obtains the voluntary performances of
headliners who want to perform at military bases. Though the artist's
volunteer their time to do the show the tour gratefully pays the total
expenses of the entertainer in making the appearance.

the summer of 1992 the Burbank Starlight
Bowl has been thrilling audiences with a
blend of high energy performances and
community based programming.

We Tell Stories recaptures the magic of storytelling for
kids of all ages. Performing since 1981, our multi-ethnic troupe uses a
unique blend of storytelling and audience participatory theater to bring
folklore, literature and mythology to joyful life. Our extemporaneous
performance style makes our shows adaptable for all audiences. The
story-plays explore themes of honesty, friendship, self-esteem, and
more. Their humor and fantasy pave the way to revelation and resolution.

ZADIA IFE
ZADIA IFE, is a producer, director, writer,
actress and educator. She is a graduate of Mason Gross School of
Performing Arts at Rutgers University where she studied with Avery
Brooks and Glenda Dickerson. Graduate studies were undertaken at
Cornel in African American Studies where she studied with Henry Louis
Gates and Yosef ben Johanan. After leaving Cornel she took her
doctoral courses also in African American Studies at Temple University
with Molefi and Kariamu Asante. She has taught courses in theater,
English and African American Studies at Temple, Lehigh University,
Ramapo College, Freedom Theater, The Christina Cultural Arts Center
and the University of Delaware.

Cancer Support Group was founded in 1995, by Gloria Harmon who is

B&R'S OLD FASHION HAMBURGERS
Owned and operated by Richard and Norma Hood, first
opened it’s door on July 9, 1994.
In the summer of 2004, customers
nominated the restaurant for a Hoodie Award in the Best
Breakfast category. At the time, the Steve Harvey Radio
Show hosted the awards. In August of 2006, B&R’s was
featured on Alton Brown’s, Feasting On Asphalt,
culinary show that is part of the Food Network.
In October of last year, the
proprietors hosted a Monster Royal Burger eat-off
competition with employees from the Unisys
Corporation. The event was moderated by, Gorilla Black, a
local celebrity rapper who served as the hype man for the
competition.
Recently, the owners have branched out

actress, Kellita Smith of the Bernie Mac Show.
